Caribbean Tales (solo Pirate Borg) - Episode 5
The following is part 5 of my solo Pirate Borg campaign. It focuses mainly around the character I created in this post, which was so interesting to me that it prompted me to set up a whole solo campaign. You can start with episode 1 here. Let's dive right in!

-You see, Sam, Bilge continued, the Captain is a honorable pirate, who treats us very nicely, much better than other crews I've been in before. The only thing is that she has some Rules she wants us to follow, and if we don't her mean side shows up. They're not many, don't worry, and nothing difficult, but be careful to follow them, otherwise...oh boy!
-Otherwise? asked Sam.
-You don't wanna know the otherwise.
-That's insane! How can you be okay with being treated like this?
-Oh come on, don't be silly! We all have our little quirks. And the Captain is brave and strong enough to afford a bit more quirkiness, that's it. Besides, are you telling me the high ranks of the Royal Navy are all lovey-dovey with their sailors all the time?
-...what are the Rules, Bilge?
-Now we're talking! said Bilge with a big smile, pointing his hook at Sam. The first Rule is the most important, the one you just broke: never speak to the Captain without permission, unless she talks to you first. She hates it.
-Why?
-I don't know. Don't ask. The second Rule, he continued, is to not pray on the ship. On land, do whatever you want; but when you're aboard, don't let the Captain catch you praying, or you won't be aboard much longer.
-You don't know the reason for this one either, I'm guessing.
-Nay. Third, no fighting among the crew. If you have a problem with someone you talk to the Captain or me...
-This one seems reasonable.
-...so we can organize a proper duel and bet on it.
-...of course, why am I surprised?
-You shouldn't be. Now, what I-
Sam suddenly grabbed Bilge's shoulder and said Wait! Did you hear that? There was some kind of rattling noise nearby.
They both turned at the same time and saw, at the edge of the clearing, a pair of skeletal hands emerge from the ground. Before either of them could say anything another pair of hands appeared not far from the first; both were quickly followed by the rest of the bodies, bones, weapons...and not much else.
-Do we have to ask for permission to speak even in a case like this? Sam whispered to Bilge, without diverting his eyes from the skeletons.
-L-let me handle it Bilge muttered; he then shouted, still looking at the new apparitions, H-hey Sea Whale, I sure hope the Captain-
-I know about the skeletons, Bilge, Ramirez interrupted him. We're surrounded.
It was at this point that Sam and Bilge finally looked around, and...yeah. At least 10 skeletons were encircling the crew now.
-Alright, crew. Time to show these piles of bones what you're made of! You in the middle, keep digging! We'll take care of them.
Bilge looked at the skeletons that were now approaching, then at his hook, then at the skeletons again...and quickly took a couple of steps backwards, putting Sam between himself and the enemies.
-Well newbie, looks like it's time for you to keep your end of the bargain and protect me.
